FLAC files for song submissions Posted on June 12, 2019 Resonate currently depends on volunteers for a number of organizational processes, so we’re trying to streamline as many steps as possible. A simple hack that artists can help with is converting their audio files to the FLAC format and pre-loading metadata. If you don’t have an existing app for converting WAV to FLAC files, download Audacity. It’s a free, open-source audio app. FLAC is a lossless (no compression) format that provides CD quality (great for downloads!) and is half the size of WAV files, which means faster uploads as well! To see all metadata we need, check out this sample – download | online. (If editing metadata online, please make a copy to your Google account first.) Proper metadata is super important. Here’s a great article that explains in more detail. Happy uploading!
