In 2007 thanks to Sellaband and 684 generous believers from all over the world she raised $50,000 and recorded her first soul-pop album And Maybe A Tree Will Rise Out Of Me... in Weed, California under her former artist name T-ka. The soul-pop record was produced by Sylvia Massy (Prince, Skunk Anansie) and supported by a crowd of hugely talented musicians: guitarist Jeff Pevar (Ray Charles, Crosby Stills & Nash), drummer Stevie D (David Gilmour, Crosby Stills & Nash), bassist Tibo Barbillon (Nouvelle Vague) and horn-player Bill Holloman (Nile Rodgers, Diana Ross).
She then moved to London in 2009 and after seeing Bobby McFerrin & Richard Bona live, she discovered the limitless possibilities offered by the human voice and decided to try her hand at A Cappella singing. She started experimenting new songs and her loop pedal and soon became June Caravel.
To promote her new album The A Cappella Sessions, she decided to go Busking in Australia. She had only busked about an hour in London before. June’s goal: only survive off donations people give her in the street while singing. Not only did she survive 2 months but she also filmed it and produced an online series: “Busking in Australia”.
After that June went back to good old Europe and settled in Hanover, Germany in September 2012 and started exploring yet another way to do concerts by performing at the homes of guests and fans between Germany and The Netherlands. In February 2013 she won the Hanover city prize “Kre(h)tiv”.
June moved back to Paris in October 2014 and is now coming back to her dancing roots. She's been a rock'n'roll dancer since she's 12 and even was a French acrobatic rock champion at 15. June has raised €15.000 on Kisskissbankbank in June 2016 and has finished recording her album in the beginning of July 2016 at the Studios Audiolane next to Paris. The album Boogie-Woogie Style is now available on all platforms...
